Disable 1x for voice/text?
 

I have very little signal at my house and whenever i try to make phone calls, my phone switches to 1x and drops the call. on previous phones, i was able to make stable calls with ev or rA with 0-1 bar signal strenght. any way is there a way to force the phone to use evdo for phone/text?

Unfortunately not possible. evdo is not used for txt or talk at all. The phone will always drop to 1x to send or receive txt or for calls.

You may want to try a different radio as this MAY help with some fringe signal problems.
