Re: microsoft tellme app working on touch pro!!!!!

Got mine working last night. I'm running the 10/13 build of EnergyROM. I did have to try and install it 3 or 4 times, but it finally took.

I assigned it to the long press "call" button on the phone, and that activates it just fine. It works with Bluetooth on, but I still have to press the "speak" right softkey" before I can say anything.

Long press on the Bluetooth Headset (Jabra BT530) still activates the old Voice Command.

Location search works fine, but I haven't tried it with GPS since I have Location Services disabled to save battery life. That's not a feature that I would use a lot anyway.

It works for calling, but takes many attempts to recognize the contacts name. Even the few times it's gotten it right the first time it still takes way longer than with Voice Command - plus you have to pull the phone out when on bluetooth and activate it, then press the "speak" softkey, then press the OK button when the screen tell you what it's about to do. It doesn't talk to you like Voice Command does. Unless there's some setting I haven't come across yet.

It's WAY cool to be able to text someone via voice, and it recognizes that speech very accurately. I'll use that when I'm in the car, but not sure how I could respond to a new text with it.

Very cool stuff, but since I use speech recognition almost exclusively for calling someone while I'm on Bluetooth, I'll be sticking with Voice Command for now. I'm glad we can have them both on our device at the same time!

you don't need to install the NETCF cab. MightyRom6 already has that built in. Just install the tellme cab.
