Re: Asurion replacing TP with TP2
I called last night 630pm CST and was on the phone for about 25 minutes. Reported to them everything that had been going on with my phone ( Battery overheating while charging and downloading, and the keyboard issue). They seemed to only care about the keyboard issue. I was transferred 3 times without asking and ended up with a supervisor. Each person asked if I was hurt or anything was ruined by the overheating battery. In the end the supervisor offered me every single phone expect the TP2. I told him I needed the large keyboard and WinMo. Then he said the HTC Snap has all that and I replied I'm looking at the Sprint website and it doesn't look like it. After about 5 minutes of asking him about phone he finally said "Well, we do have another but it's on back order." I asked him what phone and how long. 2-3 Days is what I was told. So, I should have my TP2 in 2-3 and will report back.

Re: Asurion replacing TP with TP2
They don't deal with that stuff, it has to be PHYSICAL damage (cracked screen, water damage, etc,) if it's just a keyboard issue or screen issue that is a manufacturing defect and it's covered under warranty so you will have to call Sprint or.... your phone might just fall into the toilet and you have to call assurion LOL

Re: Asurion replacing TP with TP2
I just called Asurion and told them my phone was heating up and the keyboard was not consistently responsive and she steered me to reach out to the local Repair Center. Should I call back later this afternoon and say that the repair center told me to reach back to Asurion?

Re: Asurion replacing TP with TP2
One key thing you should mention when you call is this....
Tell them you have been having a keyboard issue. Also that you have taken the phone to the store but when they were going to replace it the replacement's keyboard was also having the same issue. Tell them the store rep told you that the keyboard is a known issue with the TP. This helped me out alot. Then continue on with the wanting a full slide out keyboard to prevent fat fingering. WinMo of course and touch screen. The only phone out that can match that is the TP2. Try not to bring up the TP2 yourself unless they just flat will not. Play stupid and have patience. |
