PLZ HELP A NOOB, need 2 revert but can't bc USB busted
 

I am sorry to bother you all, but i have looked but can't find out to install STOCK Sprint ROM ON A SD card (not on usb cable activesync bc my port is BUSTED). I know there is a relocker, but that wont get me stock.

Thanks in advance for any help to a cab file.

just extract the shipped rom exe with WinRAR or similar, then you'll see the ruu_signed.nbh file that you need to rename to RAPHIMG.nbh and put it on your mem card and flash away. instructions here http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread...ighlight=flash

there is no cab file for doing this. you have to flash it via mem card.

i dont get it i tried. Explain it to me like im a retard.

This is what i did.
I downloaded the StockSprintherm.cab
And the Ruu link you sent me too.

I extracted the stockprintcab on my pc desktop, then changed its name from sprinstock.. to that weird name ..nbh you told me to. Then I put that on my root sd card. Then I also put that RUU.cab file on my root of sd card.

Did i mess up?

Probably not a hard thing to fix. Just open the 4 screws on the back, open it up, unsnap and resnap the connector for the little USB/Reset board. I had to fix mine once.. I think it gets messed up if you press the inside of the phone where the batter sits.
The hard part is getting the snaps around the keyboard to let go. I used my fingers only... no tools. Didn't mark up anything.
Anyway, I bet you are under warrenty and are hopeing for a TP2 in exchange.

there is no cab file for anything you need to do.

1.download the sprint shipped rom here.
2.then extract it with a program called WinRar.
3.then you will see the ruu_signed.nbh file that you just extracted from the sprint shipped rom.
4.then you need to rename it from ruu_signed.nbh to RAPHIMG.nbh.
5.then put that file on your mem card.
6.then you need to put your phone into bootloader mode: hold the Volume Down and Power button simultaneously. While you're still holding those 2 buttons, press the reset button with your stylus.
then your phone will read the nbh file you put on the mem card and ask if you want to flash it.

Download the Sprint stock ROM RAR files from here:
unlock, flash and even relock your TP via the SD card!

Once downloaded, extract the RAR file somewhere... You should have a .nbh file which is hopefully named RAPHIMG.nbh, if not, rename it to that.

Copy that file to your SD card (not in any directory).

Put the card in your phone, and then:

"Hold the power button and volume down while soft resetting your phone. Continue to hold volume down and power until you see a screen that has 3 colored bars covering the top 2/3s of the screen. (thanks for the typo catch razor)

If you have a file named RAPHIMG.nbh on your sd card this screen will only flash briefly and then give you a message that says press power to flash."

If you press the POWER button, it should begin flashing it with that RAPHIMG.nbh file, which is the stock ROM.

After that completes, the phone will still need to be RELOCKED:
Go back to the unlock, flash and even relock your TP via the SD card! post, and download the SPRINTRELOCKER.zip file from the first post. It has a single file, guess what it is... RAPHIMG.nbh.... Copy this to your SD card (overwrite the file that should still be there)... And then do the same thing - hold down the Power button and the Volume Down button while soft resetting your phone...

It should flash that file..... You should now be back to stock.

The unlock, flash and even relock your TP via the SD card! post is your friend...

LAST Q:

I take it that I ONLY take the recently names .nbh file and put it in the directly; that is, all the rest of the files that come in that stock rom do NOT go anywhere (pretty much useless)???

Or by "file" fo you mean all of those files (pps patch; enter boothloader; error battery;Ruurecorce.dll etc.)
