It worked for me!! Well I didn't want the TP2, but it was offered on a list of phones I had a choice from. My TP screen went out completely, according to them, the Ribbon cable that connects to the LCD was half torn/ripped and I needed a replacement. As stated as others, I kept my cool, didn't mention the Wel list and I didn't even have a problem with the store rep during the process. Anyway, he came back with my TP with my Ticket with a sticky attached and it had several phones which the TP2 was on. He said we don't have these here as you can see there not on display but we can have you one shipped to your house/store by Monday (this was Saturday), but like I state before I didn't want it, since I played with one before and I wasn't excited and it had similar problematic pre-symptoms the first TP has, plus I'm sick of the same old WM 6.1 with not so good Apps (don't flame me, my opinion), so I went with the Tour since I previously had it before but returned it (nothing wrong with the phone, completely different story), I really wanted the Hero, but that wasn't on the list So now I'm a happy Tour owner again, I still have my upgrade now, they're pushing it like crazy but I'll be on the lookout for another WM device in the future but probably not until WM7 comes out. I live in Atlanta, so for those who's wants a TP2 and its a legit problem with their phone, I'm certain they can get one Next Day Air like me!!!!

Just called becuause my TP1 is having problems. They gave me the list they could replace with and the TP2 was NOT on it. The guy said he did hear of them replacing them with the TP2 but they were out of stock right now so it is not possible for them to do.

Another TP1 is on its way and he said if/when I have a problem with it to try again and see if any TP2 are in stock.

this is why i posted a couple pages back that every situation is different. how many tps have you had? what state are you in? how long have you been with sprint? the rep might be mis-informed, etc. some of this plays a factor. when i called *2, advanced tech support tried to get the tp working and could not. i was then told to go to a repair center. the repair center ordered the tp2 even though i was excepting another tp to come. from some of the posts i've read, some people haven't had a tp long and maybe that's the problem. a year ago today, i ordered mine thru telesales.

the hero is not on the list. just pretty much all the blackberries, htc snap, treo pro, and palm pro. and the tp2 IF available.

Neither the WEL list that was leaked or the list the rep read off to me in-store had the Hero on it.

well i just went to my local sprint store because the keyboard died on my touch pro and they ordered me a brand new touch pro 2 no problem, I should get on monday or tuesday. I'm so pumped

Actually it is. You're buying service from Sprint on a monthly basis, but you own your phone.

It's much like getting cable modem service and owning your own cable modem or getting cable TV service and owning your own TV.

You're not leasing the hardware. You own it. If your TV breaks, you're not going to get a credit from your cable company for service you couldn't use. If your phone breaks, Sprint is not under any obligation to provide you with a service credit because your hardware is not capable of using the service.

Well, thats what the insurance is for isn't it? I carry line insurance to on my cable modem. When a storm blew it out, guess what it was replaced free of charge. That why I PAY for that service. I do not see validity in you're statement. I know if I treated my customers like that. I would be closing shop.
