so everyone seems to get someone and have them try to order touch pro 2 but cant cause its out of stock. isnt there any way to keep checking if the phone is back in stock over like the intretnet or maybe call *2 and goto sales and ask if they have it in stock and if they do than goto the store and have them order it?

It appears this is only valid a tthird party ACS stores. I went to a corporate store becuae my screen died two days before this. it will not respond to any touch. I finally had a chance to take mine in over th weekend. The guy said they were ordering a replacement TP. I mentioned finding something online and Sprint was offering other phones in exchange. he said he didn't know anything about it. My phone would have to be replaced multiple times prior to replacing.
I go home and call Sprint. Since I am on the SWAC I talk to Employee Care when I call. I talk to the first rep and they know nothing about it. THey transfer me to tech support and they know nothing either. The guy at tech support says he would have to order the TP/ I say no thanks they have already done that at the store. He then recommends going to another store or hang on to the one I have and if there are other problems I have until march under the normal manufacturer warranty. I then call the corporate store and talk to one of the techs there. I explain to him what I have found and he says when we see the ASC that is referring to third party stores. they are not doing this typ eof swap in the corporate stores. I ask if I can cancel the TP and go to another store. He says he cant cancel I just dont have to pick up the TP that was ordered. He then tells me I can try a third party store and gives the phone number and address to a couple of different stores. I decide to give it a shot and go to one of them. hte guy is trying to pull it up and order a replacement. It gets to one point and it will not allow him to place an order. something about customer care has gone in and started an order but it doesnt look like they completed it, not sure what that means. He tries it a couple of times and finally says it looks like maybe since you are on an emplyee plan he cant do anything. The funny thing about that is if I go online and go through the advance exchange it tells me to take the phone to that exact same store to have it checked out. SO to paraphrase it looks like only the third party repair facilities are doing the exchange to a different phone. I will get my replacement TP on Monday or Tuesday and will see how long it lasts. if I have problems I will jsut take it to a thirpd party store instead of the corporate store next time. |

The only thing better about the TP2 is the screen size & keyboard (which I hardly use) everything else is the same or slightly worse, i.e., battery longevity; even the rom is smaller by 20MB. I think the allure or HTC's devices are starting to wear off for me. I wish sprint would buck up and get some better phones. |

ok well i just got back from my local sprint store in allentown pa. and it was no problem to order the tp2. will have it in by wed. maybe sooner. just mention the memo and whatever your problem is. They offered me all of the phones on the list which i couldve taken immediately or the tp2 they would have to order.

i dunno...he left the tp2 for last on his suggestions though. they didnt offer me the hero lol i wish they wouldve. the repair guy didnt mention anything about it being out of stock at the warehouse, just said itll be in by wed. maybe earlier.

if you go to the find a store link on the SPrint.com site, put in your zip code. WHen it populates the list of stores it will say something like "spwint store by absolute wireless" or "sprint store". The ones that just list Sprint store are typically going to to be corp stores if it is a sprint store by someone it is third party authorized retailer. It should also list what services are available at each store.

Not sure if this means much, but a Sprint employee informed me they probably won't have any in stock in the warehouse they order from until either Tuesday or Wednesday at the earliest... :(

I am expecting my replacement monday or tuesday. I spoke with several sprint stores in the Denver area who informed me that they were receiving TP2s for sale today (SUnday) and they would be available tomorrow. However, the devices they are getting to sale will not be used for replacing other devices. The TP2s used for replacement of TP1s will be refurbs. I have spoken with three stores who have all told me the same thing. However, when they offered me a BB Tour or Curve, they said I could have it that day. I assume those would not be refurbs but not sure. Can anyone speak on this?

Well I went to the sprint store yesterday and they said instead of trying to fix my phone they'd order me a new model which would be there Tuesday. My fingers are crossed its a touch pro 2 but we'll see. I don't have insurance.

Done with Sprint's BS. Offering me a phone worth 100 less than I paid for a replacement is bs(my touch pro is actually broke) Getting a tour until I switch to Verizon and get a touch pro2. |

i just went to the sprint store here in town and requested a tp2...the tech showed me the wel list and was compliant. however, the tp2 isnt available for order, so i had to order another tp1. i have no doubt in my mind that the tp1 will go bad after a lil while, so i decided to take my chances again with that so that i can get it replaced incase something didnt work correctly. as someone stated earlier that they were pissed at the fact that sprint would even offer them something thats of lesser value than what they had initially spent their money on, i totally agree with this. however, i do understand sprints side of it, they just want to get u something that works, they should credit our accounts for the offset difference, but they've yet to do something like this. as from what i can see, sprint is willing to do this, u may have to stand ur ground for a bit, but be civil...you will get your way. just thought i'd add my .02. good luck to everyone else trying to get a tp2

I just left my Sprint store and got some B.S. about having to have 3 replacements in the last 6 months to get a TP2. I was not in the mood to argue so I will take the refurb TP they are ordering for me and if there are issues with that I will really raise a stink.

For those who work at sprint, I wanted to know how you determine the priority for replacement phones. I.e. a refurbed TP2 is a 4, a NIB is a a 5. What warrants a replacement with a priority 5? Thanks

he asked me if I was ok with a touch pro 2 and I asked about what would work or not work with my tp. but then again it was the tech yesterday who broke my tp.
he mentioned he saw i had a few replacements . but I did go to a asc. now just have to wait till tuesday to see |

went in yesterday,got offered a tp2 of a tour.i went with the tp2.after a little research,theyre on backorder or some crap.he told me to stop by in a day or 2 to check the status.
my question is,hows the batterylife of the 2 stack up to the og? |

what do I do if I dont have a repair center anywhere near my house?? I tried the tech chat and they were of absolutelly no help and told me I had to use my insurance to replace the phone, even though its under 1 year old.....
