Ok i just try the advance exchange webpage and looks that i have to keep trying until i get a replacement with the TOuch Pro 2.. this is what i got

That's what I keep getting too. and as i posted to someone else in another thread i think we should slow down or wait for some more time to pass because we're circulating the phones we're sending in. let someone who wants a TP1 get that and maybe when they're out of stock...its our turn to raid the inventory......AGAIN! lol

Still out of stock, and this picture (which was emailed to me from the store manager) proves that they are still capable of doing it and it really just depends on the person. I have only had 1 replacement and he is still going to hook me up.

I dont think they will do a TP2 over the phone, you have to go to the store. I think maybe only ins will replace it with a TP2 over the phone

Yea I tried today over the phone after just receiving a refurb replacement which overheats and has a huge gap between the screen and the keyboard. They offered me all sorts of other terrible phones but would not do the TP2 or anything even close to the TP. So I have yet another TP refurb on the way.

Read the memo again if you have it, it does NOT say anything about any specific models. It says due to high exchanges they are adding more models to choose from . It NEVER says anything about a TP2 nor did it have anything in red. Unless you have a different leaked memo? And the leaked memo is for ASC's. the corporate stores might have gotten a similar but different memo. The unit also has to display an issue that the tech can not fix as well before they will offer you a different model

I am finally getting my TP2. I called and got a very nice Rep. Told him that I was on my 5 TP in 4 months and he is now replacing mine. Should be here by Thursday. All I did was ask him to ask his Supervisor to see if there was anything they could do for me, other than sending me another "broken" phone. I had my TP for 20 minutes and the Send/Receive/D-pad plate started to fall off. They understood my frustration and I was exceedingly nice.

Whoa... you got a replacement from tech support through the phone? That's rare. After hearing everyone getting rejected, maybe it's worth a shot.

First – Not everyone one will get it. As we all can see.
Second – Store only or Call Center. Asurion still goes by the standard policy, but few may luck out.
Third – You must have multiple swaps with the same device, and complain about it.
Forth – They know most are “trying” to get a “Free upgrade” like the Mogul did the first month the Touch Pro was released.
Fifth – Manager Discretion
Sixth – Exchange Violation, giving you another model besides the one you have violates their exchange rate. Sprint is tight on this.
Seventh – If exchange violation is already at limit you will not get it, best at the beginning of the month and do not mention “I heard everyone else is getting it.” You might as well say hey I’m ripping you off.
Eight – BE NICE
Ninth – TP2 is cool, but………..
Tenth – Talking to the manager will not get you any further. Besides a boot in the @$$ and they will give you a phone you don’t want.
Eleventh – You might get a BlackBerry instead of a TP2.
Twelfth – Not all Retail store carry them yet!

i don't agree with some of this list

first if u go in with a legitimately malfunctioning device (tp), they are swapping out the tp with any phone on the list including tp2 or a refurb tp. I was told by a sprint regional director who just happened to be observing the store i went to. he said htc has told sprint that their device was basically recalled and HTC is reimbursing sprint for replacing tp's with any phone on the list, and there is no order or any bull****, just strait up on whats on the list. some stores are misinterpreting the new policy / memo, that's why there is mixed encounters... and if the one u want isn't in stock welll....below

second, they CANNOT force any phone on you. if u are not satisfied with what they are trying to offer you, you can simply reject the phone and try another store.

third, the store manager can help you out.

fourth, no store carries the tp2, but any store can order a tp2, be it from new inventory or refurb inventory

Okay for those of you wondering about doing this over the phone, that's how I kind of got mine. I has a rep in the phone who told me the WEL list has the TP2 on it and said the store which denied me should have ordered it for me. He then called the store with me on the other line and spoke to the manager who had initially refused to give me a TP2. He then got back on the phone with me and told me to go to the store and ask for the manager. At the store, the manager knew who I was and placed an order for a NIB TP2 as soon as I got there

UPDATE:

Got of the phone checking the status of my e-ticket again today, still in "Processing" status... Big mix up between the store and corporate surprise surprise. Turns out my replacement is waiting at the store for me.

Anyhow, I was told SPECIFICALLY by the rep from customer service at *2 that if i had any more issues with my TP, their WEL List stated that that the TP was to be replaced by the TP2 or the Android, because every other phone would be a downgrade.

Please DONT Flame this post, i know all the controversy over this issue with the 1260 posts that i have muddled through the past few days.

Im just hoping that THIS replacement TP that is apparently waiting in the store for me to pickup is a GOOD refurb. Im sick and tired of the damn keyboards going out!

the purpose of this post is to add support for the opening post. what some of you guys and gals have to remember is that every sprint account is different and every situation is different. what works for some will not work for others. but the sprint tech i talked with says sprint is exchanging the tp for several models, including but only if in stock, the tp2. there are no magic words or phrases that you can say that will get you a tp2. it is solely up to the sprint store or customer service. the one thing i can say is that if you've had multiple replacements, your chances are high. but for those just looking for a free upgrade, keep in mind that if you do get an exchange and your tp isn't broken, you will be charged up to $119 according to the e-ticket.

Wow amazing, This is why their customer service is what it is. There is no way they would replace the TP with an android, it isnt even windows based and it is a brand new model. The list I saw had about 5 different models and the hero was not on there. And the memo said nothing about replacing it with a TP2. The customer could choose from all available models but they were not guaranted the replacement of their choice. For instance I want a BB and there are none in stock then I must choose from some other model, get another TP or deal with the issue I currently have.

Well hello guys i have a pretty good story to share, before reading this i would think that some kind of scheme to get the TP2 can be done..after reading this i was sure i can def make it happen so i can my tp replaced with tp2. Last week i called sprint represantative and told them about the defected phone and how its my 3rd one and they kept asking me to go to a repair center (this is NYC btw, BROOKLYN), every represantive i spoke to told me the same thing. And so i go to a repair center and the guy acted like he had no idea until i pulled out the sheets of paper to prove it, even so he tried to scheme me himself and told me that their out of it and the warehouse inventory is out of stock as well and couldnt choose the option, i literally almost got physical with him to a point where i had to control myself cause i know he was bsing freaking 4 eyes.. There were notes on my account that i should get the TP2, if u do the same thing MAKE SURE U GET NOTES ON UR ACCOUNT! anyway that same day after i get out of the store without any luck i said wth let me call sprint again and so i did, complained more and more and they still couldnt do anything, ask for tech support and everything. They said they couldnt order me one they dont have authority to, before getting off the phone with tech support i asked for account setting technician, this is where u get the most results btw guys so listen up. I dont have a contract with sprint anymore because i been a costumer for 8 years, i get a lady at account settings and i tell her straight up I WANT TO CANCEL MY SPRINT. She said y is that sir and bla bla and i explained it to her about the notes about the sheets about this ahole trying to duck and dodge me and said i cant deal with anymore, she put me on hold...5 min later she said Mr.%%$# your tp2 has been ordered by a manager at KINGS PLAZA MALL in BROOKLYN NY are u near there i said yes maam, she said ur phone is going to be there on monday and i called on thursday. This monday i went there and i got the TP2 with no problems at alllll, they didnt even check my TP they just confiscated it. Happy story to a happy costumer, wish you all the same luck.

From here on out, I will NEVER go back into a corporate sprint store. i will only deal with 3rd party stores. If you have a legitament complaint, i would suggest a 3rd party repair center. I give this one two thumbs up.

i tried twice today and did all the scams including telling them i couldnt get the 800 tax credit becasue i already own one home. (he didnt laugh at that either)
i give up. i was scared id get the same monkey on the phone plus maybe the tp2 isnt that great anyway. wow im actually believing my own b.s.

WOW, I cant help but laugh at this situation that some of us are in. I have now had three going on 4 TP's and mind you they have all been replaced for legitimate reasons. I just want a freaking phone that works...and...ready..... this is the kicker......"I can depend on!".
I in NO way shape or form trust this model of phone. Be it bad batches, rushed shipments,poor QC, whatever. Its not my fault. I paid for a phone I should have a phone that operates like it was meant to. Also, please...the offering of a Palm Pro, Snap, BB are in NO way compairable phones. Why is this even acceptable for Sprint to do? Are they depending on the averge consumer being so stupid and ill-informed about the product they are using that with hopes they will accept a lesser model only to pad Sprints bank account on the overall savings? This is why Sprint is sheading customers left and right. Do the right thing Sprint.

Oh, and for giggles I will add this also. Sprint does not offer a loner phone anymore. So when I had to again get a replacement and was told it might be 3-5 days I asked the Asst Mgr(Miamisburg Ohio store btw) if he thought it was ok for me to be without a phone for that time frame. He said "Yes"! For real are you joking? I would be happy with a NEW TP in box, at least I would feel better about that than a refub. BTW, taking the battery back off and seeing the scratchs and dents that happen during a refub process in NO makes me feel any better...LMAO

Sprint in NO way is trying to make customers happy. I guess they figure they have via contract so what do they care?...................next in line please!

Oh and I by no means want a free hand out. I just want what I paid for. It is what it is!

Well, my TP broke a few days ago. KB would not work, GPS is not working anymore, and it freezes all the time. Tried stock ROM, reflashing, resetting, to no avail. I was wandering if someone can recommens a repair shop in Chicagoland where they had good luck getting TP2.

Rob, I feel fo you. But why should it be Sprints fault to supply you with a phone while yours is dead? Be happy they supply service so you do not have to wait two weeks to send it to HTC. I run a business and have a couple extra vehicles in case one breaks down. Should I expect Ford to supply me with a loaner truck if mine is down?

I also believe they are offering these models as those are what people have chosen to replace their HTC. You could always get another TP, no one is denying that. The demand for the TP2 appears to be so high that they are out of stock. I was told my employee would have to wait for a TP2 if he wanted that model.

So here is my story. My original tp had the rainbow smudge and was overheating. I went into a repair center and after explaining to him my problem, offered me the tour, snap, and treo pro. I told him none of those were comparable, so I asked him to order me another tp. I received my refurb tp and the same day, the keyboard was already dying and the slider was very stiff, which caused the keyboard to become scratched up within a few slides. I went back and told him I saw the tp2 online and asked him if I could get that. He showed me the exchange list, which showed the tp2, but told me he wasn't able to order it for me. So, he ordered me another tp. This time, the refurb tp had the front button panel falling off. I called customer service and they were very rude to me. I explained my story and she transferred me to a lady in account services. I explained to her that I do not have the time to keep going into the store to swap my phone out. At this point, I cannot believe the attitude she started giving me. She jumped to conclusions and said I will not get a tp2. All I said to her was that I wanted a working tp or a comparable model. I didn't even mention anything about a tp2. I just wanted a working tp. So I went to another store with replacements by mail and told them my story. He offered to order me a brand new tp or I could replace it with a tp2 for $150. He already knew about all the problems and says his store has nothing but problems with htc phones. I decided to stick with the tp. On the way out, I overheard another guy talking to him saying something along the lines of "did you read the mpp?"

you're not alone. i'm on my 4th tp this week. they actually gave me a NIB tp for my current phone. i've done all the things you have and had the same results. for some of us, it just aint happening.

that's what i was saying before, every account and situation is different. a person who's a premier customer will be treated differently from someone who's not. that is what sprint had in mind when they started that promotion. loyalty pays! but if you hold out, you'll get one or maybe something better.

Of course not, but perhaps your dealer who may be fixing the car will supply you one, mine does free of charge. Sprint should supply him with a loaner phone, for the same reason my cable company credits my account, when their service goes down. If I am paying a monthly cost for something that I cannot use through no fault of my own, I should be compensated, or supplied with the means to utilize what I am subscribed to. That's not completely unreasonable...

Here is my photo from earlier that I removed but now fixed. You can receive TP2 as replacements (obviously because it has been done numerous times as seen in this thread), it really just depends on who is helping you. This is only my second TP (refurbished) and I am waiting for the TP2 to be in stock and the store manager is the one who is helping me.

anyone here getting help from the LOS FELIZ store?

have they been able to get you your tp2 yet?

they said they'd leave my ticket open....

ok so i have read some people say u can call in and get a tp replaced for a tp2 and some say you cant.... the nearest store is like 30 miles from me... so can i call in and do it over the phone or not this tp is already overheating and only been usin it about 2 weeks uhg i love winmo but this device is crap
