This kinda reminds me of how I felt when my Samsung R410 broke and Metro tried to have me upgrade to the Samsung Messenger... It's weird, cuz like, you would think having the buttons spaced further apart would be a good thing, but when I tried to get the hang of the Messenger keyboard, I found I just couldn't deal with it! Same dealio here, with the close keys/spaced-keys thing.

I just called tech support and told them about my hard buttons not working. They give me the following choices.
Palm Pre
Palm Treo 850
BB Curve 8330
I asked if I could get phones of equal or lesser value, and he said his system doesn't allow for it.
I told him to make notes on the acct of the offer so I didn't lose it because I wanted to ask you guys what you thought. He said the Touch Pro 2 may become available again if it was available in the past. Should I just get the Pre? I've had WinMo since my T-Mobile MDA days and...I'm scared guys. What if the interface isn't buggy and problematic. How will I pass my time? What will I fix?

I want that TP2. Help?

Speaking as someone who's used Windows Mobile, WebOS, Android and a ton of other stuff... take the Pre. The keyboard's an adjustment but it's great.

They just released flipping Earthworm Jim for it.

If the Pre worked on SERO I'd snap it up in a heartbeat.

They offered me same models this morning, and I said NO and requested to put a note on my account and she asked me to call back if they can offer TP2 when it is available.

Ok update: I told them I'd take the Pre but asked tech to call Care and see if I could use the Sero plan, expecting the worst from Sprint sneakiness. Of course, it couldnt happen and I'm not about to lose by coveted $30 plan. I asked for another TP since the TP2 wasn't in stock. I want to keep the upper hand in this replacement deal. Guess I'll have to stick to WinMo and wait for the TP2. The tech did warn me that the new Windows devices won't work with my plan either so I'll have to figure something out post-TP/TP2. UGH. Cell companies frustrate me! They do anything to get you out of a great plan.
