WM 6.5 Roms
 

I have the HTC Touch Pro on the US Cellular network and I have a few questions. Hopefully someone can help me.

1. I would like upgrade to a WM 6.5 rom but I do not want all of the extras that some add to their roms. I would like it to be as close to OEM or stock as possible. Are any of those available?

2. If I were to upgrade my TP would I be able to go back to my stock rom at a later date?

As far as going back, it is possible. Just flsh stock, and relock. The extras are something you sort of have to deal with, or start cooking yourself. I'm currently battling with the apps I don't want. lol I deal for now, while I'm reading up on the kitchen.

No one? Well hopefully someone can anwer this. I have a rom that I got from the HTC site that is specific for my device. It was an upgrade. If I want to go back after installing a custom rom, will the upgraded rom I got from HTC be useful?

yeah the shipped roms can be flashed even after a custom rom is on the phone.

i am having trouble opening the rom file on my computer...it opens with note pad and shows code

You have winrar or winzip?
