The oily residue is normal so there will be no exchange for it, you can forget adding insurance to it now...the only thing you might have is Sprint may warranty it if they find something wrong they can't fix in house.

Over the phone they said they would HONOR htc touch's 1 year warranty.

Okay so I went to the store. They did some 2 hour bull**** diagnostics. They said the lag should be fixed and they fixed my prongs said it was bent. Now I'm having trouble charging with my USB. And I still have the overheating issue. I told her and the lady said to come back with the supervisor is there.

If it is still under warranty take it to Sprint. They are now trying to be more helpful in getting non-insured phone owners phones serviced when they are under warranty.
