Touch Pro won't be getting 6.5 upgrade?
|
Re: Touch Pro won't be getting 6.5 upgrade?
We have 6.5 may not be official, but we have it. I believe the diamond got the upgrade (lil bro to pro) and it has been ported to us. Link also shows the tp2 upgrade not avail, but was released already. With word of wm7 to be "leaked/released" in month or so, that should be ported as well. Can't wait.

Re: Touch Pro won't be getting 6.5 upgrade?
i don't care if htc releases a "real" rom, because the htc rom would just be torn apart and customized, which would probably be on par with whats available right now. so in the end, we're exactly where we would be if it were released, except we're already there and then some.

Way to read... " If you don’t see your phone in the list below, check back soon—we’ll be updating this page frequently."

Yes it will. No, it likely won't be official. The TP is essentially end of life, and will soon be but a dim memory to the guys at HTC. Sprint probably wishes it would disappear as well ;)
Look for your 6.5 (and 7.0) goodness here. |
Re: Touch Pro won't be getting 6.5 upgrade?
The TP 6.5 release??? Honestly fellas, why worry about a stock rom release? :evil4: Nothing they can do short of the video accel drivers will put them even close to what has been turned loose months ago by the chefs here! And even IF they release the drivers it will take what...20min and we would have a cab of them? By days end it would be old news. Make no mistake HTC and WM watches our chefs and with little doubt "borrows" what they learn here!!!:headbang:

So is there a custom rom out there that is like the stock rom

Re: Touch Pro won't be getting 6.5 upgrade?
I'll disagree with there being no benefit to a stock ROM, but will agree that I wouldn't use one. A stock ROM would have the potential to provide our chefs with better drivers and therefore even better performance.
But no, I don't believe we'll ever see an official upgrade. No financial incentive to HTC or the carriers. |
