What is the cprog.exe error?
 

I had previously posted that I was having problems with my display on my Pro. It was very twitchy, images were fragmented. I flashed the shipped Sprint OEM rom back to my phone and the "erraticness" seemed to have stopped. I then saw the thread about the new upgrade on the HTC site. I backed up my phone info using Sprite Backup. I flashed the new update rom to my phone. I restored my back up files but the phone gives me an error..."We're sorry, there was a problem starting cprog.exe...." and if I wanted to send a report. The screen then goes black and says "tap here to launch Touch Flo 3D. The bottom has "Calendar" and "Contacts", Start is at the top left. I have no phone. Can someone please advise me. I wanted to then relock and take it in for service/trade in.......

Boaz, hard reset and do not restore your program. You gotta install one at a time since it is somewhat a different platform....good luck

Since you suggested not to do a restore because of a different platform, does that mean all of my info that I backed up will not be usable? How can I get all of my contact info, etc back into my phone without using a restore process or program?

here is an idea, flash your non working rom back, restore your backup, use myphone to save your contacts and stuff, then flash the new sprint rom. at this point use myphone to get your stuff back then reinstall any cabs you had. then make a new sprite backup... worth a shot? I am not familiar with sprite backup..

Sprite will let you do custom backup/custom restore. Meaning, you can backp just your contact or restore them only. Or you can just copy the "pim.vol" from the old (that is where your contacts reside)...there are other options like pimbackup....main thing,just find out if u r TP works after a hard reset first.
And yes, you would have to resinstall your prog manually....
