I was seeing some things about getting free internet with verizon wireless and i wanted ot know how do i do that, i have a verizon htc touch pro, and i have Mighty rom on my phone now, could somebody help me out tell me what i have to do step by step?

find open wifi signal, turn on wifi.

open comm manager, turn on wifi, connect to any unsecured open wifi signal , unless you have security key to get into protected network. You might try searching the internet (while you are able) for listing of free wifi hot spots in your area. I am sure someone can post the link ...

I was thinking it's because some earlier phones verizon had the wifi disabled if you didn't have a data plan or something. of couse there were ways around this, and thus threads titled free internet.

That may help some folks, There are at least 2 other sites that can be searched by region/area for hot spots but cannot recall the sites at this time as i normally am using the actual data connection on the phone.

There is no way to get free internet unless you steal a WiFi....

I think you are confusing internet with tethering...
Verizon charges to allow you to tether your computer and use your phone as a modem.

You still have to pay for data (and I suggest unlimited data plan) before you can go this route.
The only thing you can get away with is not paying the tethering charge to use the phone data connection with your computer...

But you still paying for the data.
Just not paying a tethering surcharge
