questions regarding EXTs
ok, so i had to start a new thread!!! didnt want to but nobody answered my questions...
i am trying to make a rom based off of dcd's kitchen with calks exts....so when i get the exts i want, delete the skip file in them, im able to make a custom rom... here is where the problems occur.... youtube 2.6 isnt working, i get this error "the file 'youtube' cannot be opened. either it is not signed with a trusted certificate, or one of its components cannot be found. if the problem persists, try reinstalling or restoreing this file." htc calculator isnt working either, i get the same error... im running manila 2.1 with 2.5 icons, whenever i select the people tab and try to press "all people", manila restarts! and last but not least, on manila, when i select the audio tab, i get this message "audioManager_eng is not a valid pocket pc application" these are my 4 errors, for now, can anybody help me fix this? ](*,) |
Re: questions regarding EXTs
YouTube has a lot of dependencies to dun it is the most picky app lol
you need resource proxy fullscreenplayer mhub and I think shared modules that's all I can remember off the top of my head I had the audio manager problem also you need drm middleware and shared resources to work I switched to a newer version of drm and mine worked again I took the one from the recent Leo rom dump |
Re: questions regarding EXTs
This is what I had to put in dcd kitchen to get all the manila 2.1 stuff to work:

Re: questions regarding EXTs
Most of your signing issues would probably be solved by the SDKCerts package.

Re: questions regarding EXTs
even on custom roms you can get the "not signed by a trusted certificate" error. more often though it is caused by missing dependencies rather than actual certificate issues. there is a list of what depends of what in the gen y manila r1.5 thread on xda

Re: questions regarding EXTs
just add sdkcerts to your kitchen, you wont be sorry. and all of those packahes I listed came from the rar file on the xda thread I linked to. if you are using the visual kitchen it willl be a snap to figure out, I was not, I use PRB. it took me longer to figure it out
edit: fyi sdkcerts allows install of unsigned content like dll's. dlls can be taskbars, system icons, text, pretty much anything. having this ability is kind of equivalent to unlocking your phone, again. as the hardspl allows us to install unsigned ROM's, sdkcerts allow us to install unsigned content into our ROMs just noticed you're using dcd kitchen. this is based on PRB also. I actualyl made a version of DCD 2.16 with gen y r1.5 manila added to it: http://rapidshare.com/files/28374120...2.16_manila.7z might help you learn if nothing else. I did get dcd's permission to modify his kitchen. |
