need help changing device name/passkey for Bluetooth
 

I'm currently Using NRG EnergyROM 9/20 and before that 9/06. Anyways I can't figure out where to go to change the name of the device. My friends phone catches my device name as EnergyROM. I want to change that name to something of my own. Plus how can I setup the passkey or see what it is already? I gointo the bluetooth settings and goto the security tab and enable passkey required but it doesn't alow me to enter a passkey or change the existing one if one does exist. Thanks for any help guys.

to change the bluetooth name here the reg entry
"HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Bluetooth\Settings, " LocalName"



and to change the name of the phone
HKLM\Ident", "Name"

I think this might also change the ID, have you also tried going to the start/setting/systems/about go to "Device ID":

Description:

Or also change the "Owner" info start/setting/personal/owner:

I know one of them will do it...lol.

your welcome, I also run NRG rom but not the latest...I cant remember which one I changed, but I want to say it was the "Owner" info that did it.
