you can flash to this. but this does not relock your phone. YOU are going to have to run the relocker to relock.

I tried a .cab like this (Mark SMS Messages as Read Fix.cab) and I thought I noticed that the timestamps were randomly set back an hour. This could have been a number of other things, have any of you guys noticed this?

Thank goodness I'm not the only one with this problem! The people at the store and at Sprint acted like I was crazy.

I got sent a refurb from Sprint last week that has the new ROM and the text bug. I went into the store complaining about it, and the manager there called tech support at sprint, which then went to advanced tech support, and finally to some other level. I was told that it was just how the new ROM worked, so it was a "non-device issue". Of course, I countered with the fact that "the one I bought didn't have this bug" but basically got nowhere -- I was told to just wait for sprint to release another update, with no time frame or even assurance one would be coming (FAT CHANCE). It really is a frustrating bug. And this phone STILL overheats and quit charging within 15 minutes of a phone call at my house, and has locked up about every other day. =\

And what I heard somewhere else, is that this is how WM works in certain builds. Can anyone confirm if this ROM has a different build of WM than the last one?

I mean, I CAN unlock the phone and put a cooked ROM on it no problem, but we're technically not supposed to do that, and it can invalidate warranties and such. I know, relock it and send it back, but really, sprint ought to fix this one.

On second thought, I guess could download the old stock ROM and put on here, too, but I'd like to force some kind of action out of Sprint at this point. Since the problem remains after a hard reset, and another TP will have the same problem should they do an exchange, maybe I can weasel a TP2 out of them? :D

hmmm - cab broke my txting on my TP2 latest build of mighty rom (12-06-09) Had to uninstall - I was really looking forward to it - anyone have a working fix for tp2?

When I installed it, I would open up messaging but once I clicked a text it wouldn't open at all.

Yeah I don't think this is an answer for the TP2. Below is a cab that fixed the issue, but maaayy have broken timestamps (Texts would randomly have a timestamp that was behind by 1 hour, which could have been caused by something else, or this attached cab)

Is there a fix for the Telephone notification of an inbound call? Used to have the choice of vibrate, ring, silent or vibrate & ring. Cannot find the latter option.

Loser's SMS fix in post 12 of this thread worked perfectly on my Touch Pro. Give it a shot!

Thank You so much, I have been searching all over the web trying to find this exact problem and a fix. I thought it was from restoring the messages from my old phone causing the problem and it was driving me crazy!

what exactly does this cab do? would it be possible for you to just provide us with that so I don't have to install anything?

don't get me wrong I'm grateful, this has been driving me CRAZY

ok, i'm not a noob at this by any means. i had a ppc6800 or mogul before this. i updated my tp around thanksgiving. it worked beautifully. except for the fact that i couldn't select multiple messages through dragging. i figured that out. then through surfing the forums found that someone posted a cab file fix for the sms problem. the other problem i have encountered is that my slide to answer didn't work. i slid it and it continued to ring. then i touched in the middle where it originates and it showed up there. then i hit the hard button to answer. that didn't work either. since then i had to get a replacement tp. which came preloaded with the new rom. it has the same issue with the slide to answer. i've contacted both htc and sprint and all they told me is that it's not a known issue and to hard reset my tp. i hard reset the damn thing before loading any of my programming or contacts into it when it comes to ANY replacement. anyone have any ideas. this is pissing me off and i am missing way too many phone calls. on a side note, it works only when it decides to. HELP
