What program is best to cook a ROM

I had downloaded a kitchen from ppckitchen but wanted to know if there are any other kitchens out there that come recommended. This one did not seem very user friendly in getting a rom to look and operate normal.

IMO, ppckitchen is the easiest kitchen out there. download a visual kitchen for something completely different - calkulin's is great, but could very well be overwhelming. any of the old kitchens use buildOS (what ppckitchen is based on) for that I recommend any of electronicrice's. for yet another try dcd's kitchen, it doesn't get much simpler than that one, however there is zero user interaction (based on platformrebuilder ((my new favorite tool)) ). For yet another, try IIIboredIII.

I second the Calkulin reccomendation!
There are lots of options in there and visual kitchen takes some getting used to...but if you start off by selecting the devive then select the sys you want to use, the rest of the process will be similar to buildos. Just turn on the packages you want and turn off the ones you do not.

Leave the sysy and oem files alone though. just select from the ext packages when configuring.
