Has anyone flash a custom rom onto a phone straight from Sprint that hasn't been activated?

if you flash the new rom, will the phone still be capable of being activated?

as long as you can use ##codes on the new ROM. Also want to load a sprint provisioning cab to get update PRL and profile functions. you might have to manually program the phone with the MSL, to put in MDN and MSID, for this the dialer needs to accept ##codes. (for sprint at least - VZW all you need to do is *228, so dialer is not a factor)
