TP2 Radio seems improved...can we get it?

I'm ready some pretty interesting reports on the radio performance of those running TP2.

I wonder if we could get that radio to work on our TP1?
Would it have the same effect?

"The first thing I noticed when I fired up the TP2 for the first time today was the signal strength. With my TP1, inside my house I would bounce from 1 bar to none. Stayed on no bars most of the time in my house. With the TP2, I'm a solid 3 bars, sometimes 4. This makes me soooo happy. I think this is going to help me on my battery life also. On a quick trip outside today, my signal strength pegged out. Never seen before on the old TP1. Very glad of this."

Ugh I apologize for my pessimism, however BARS ARE NOT AN ACCURATE BENCHMARK at all.

With that being said I would be interested into seeing a port.

While you're absolutely right bars aren't in any way an accurate benchmark consider my scenario:

When using Sprint 1.03.15F I had NO signal in my bathroom (the phone was always searching for signal or would roam 1x and have between 0-1 bars) however after installing the Verizon 1.03.09V radio I'm able to get 2 bars consistently in my bathroom allowing me to receive calls (without dropping them at all) and text msgs if I'm in the bathroom.

And before anyone says anything, yeah I use my phone when I'm in the bathroom whether it's leaving it on the stand while I shower, texting while I drop a deuce, or holding a conversation while I'm getting ready to go out and I'm looking in the mirror. =)

Oh. Thanks. I was curious about what you were doing in this, what do you call it, "bathroom" heh

-Thats typical behavior for switching radios. I'm using Sprint's 1.12.34 and I get signal where I didn't before.
-PM a Mod. We probably need an unlocker for the TP2 before extracting it.

My brother has a TP2 the radio's not that strong where I live. I have Verizon's latest TP1 radio on mine and it's the best signal I've ever had on a phone, even underground!
