Most recent, stable ROM?
Hello-
I know it's generally against this forum's etiquette to post threads about "the best" custom ROM, but this falls into a grayish area. I'm apparently not enough of a PPC geek to know the differences between the different WM builds, which makes this difficult. I find myself overwhelmed by all the different ROMs that ultimately seem just as buggy to me. I've been using Juicy's latest ROM (and the one before it) and while I like his work, the builds of WM themselves aren't very stable. I've had to soft reset about 3 times a day with the latest start-button-on-the-bottom style builds. And some programs act odd with that new button layout (Iris, zsirc, etc). Can anyone tell me of a good, lean ROM that doesn't use a bleeding-edge build of WM? My goal is nice and clean with just my own simple install of Mobile Shell 3. Thanks for any suggestions! -TM |
Re: Most recent, stable ROM?
I have been using mightyrom 6 for a few months now with mobile shell 3, and it seems to be more stable than what you have described. I have had to do a soft reset my phone about once every 2 weeks, if that.

SsS is my favorite, I just use TouchFlo. I don't like SPB

Re: Most recent, stable ROM?
Darn it, I still get intermittent freezes with Mightrom too. Everything will freeze for a good 10 seconds, then be fine again. It doesn't happen too often, but it's really annoying.
Does anyone else have this problem? -TM |
Re: Most recent, stable ROM?
Silence... no freezing, no lagging, no BS, fast screen changes, great on battery... small ROM too since its just titanium-which u wont be using anyways...
look for lean, titanium only roms, you dont use TF so why add the extra MB's |
