Verizon GPS Question
I haven't seen anything saying this, but I just got a brand new Touch Pro from Verizon and I can't get the gps to work. I have tried the Bored fix and it didn't seem to do anything. I am running the latest Sprint radio on it. Is there a new fix with the newer Verizon Touch Pros? Am I not doing something right? I have tried with both the NFSFAN rom and DCD. Sorry if this is a noobish question, but newer titans had newer gps security measures. So I am looking for help because I can't find any information on this. I have searched here and XDA-Developers and all I can find is people talking about the bored fix.

Re: Verizon GPS Question
did you turn location on? when you activate the dialer, go to options and check to see if location is set to 'on' not just 'e911" in the "location settings". otherwise i don't see why it shouldn't work, especially given you have a brand new phone, i.e. presumably you have the MR1 update, which unlocks the gps.

Re: Verizon GPS Question
Moved to the HTC Touch Pro forum.

Re: Verizon GPS Question
Location was set to on. I wish it was something as simple as that. Also it is set to GPS program port 4, hardware port (none), and baud 4800 with manage gps automatically checked.

Re: Verizon GPS Question
In google maps, if I have it set to use windows settings it just says Seeking GPS satellites (0) until it times out. If I set the settings manually it says seeking gps satellites (405798212). Any ideas?

Re: Verizon GPS Question
NO NEED to flash MR1!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Simply download the PPST2_01.cab and install... Then run windows/ppst Your GPS will be working! |
Re: Verizon GPS Question
Where can I find PPST2_01.cab? I searched on google for it and I only found posts where you mentioned it. None of them had links.
