phone quits charging when using gps/wifi
the battery charges fine when im doing other things on the phone. when i start up the wifi internet sharing the battery stops charging. im using livesearch for my gps and im getting the same problem.
im using caulikins rom (forgive me if i spelled that wrong) |
Re: phone quits charging when using gps/wifi
does it happen instantly or just in general while running? TPs will shut off when they get hot to save the battery physically from damage.

Re: phone quits charging when using gps/wifi
it's cause the TP is a piece of crap
my old mogul could tether and use gps and still charge and stay charging without even getting hot as the TP |
Re: phone quits charging when using gps/wifi

Re: phone quits charging when using gps/wifi
This is the most annoying issue with these phones..
Since GPS, WIFI, and DATA usage sucks the battery the most you need to have the phone on charge but then the phone doesn't charge because these activities heat the phone. ARRGGH. I believe it was one of the cooks here, maybe calculin that has a registry hack the disables this "Safety feature" so that you can continue to charge the phone. When I find it I will post it. |
Re: phone quits charging when using gps/wifi
Ucpro has the right idea, put that bicht in front of ac: prob solved. I do that and also keep a small fan handy at home when I need to tether,

Re: phone quits charging when using gps/wifi
yea i just gotta get a little stand or somethin so i can keep it in front of the ac. that would b slick if culikan has a fix for it though as long as i dont have to reinstall my rom
