download a kitchen, and start experimenting...

especially if there is a particular rom u like and that chef also has a comparible kitchen, u can use his/her kitchen as a base, and just add/ throw in the oems/cabs you want, and make it your own rom

where do I get the kitchen (and will the kitchen itself allow me to put them together or is there a special program that creates kitchens??)

I agree with this as well. I feel like ive hit a wall, and the only thing to learn is cooking roms. Id like to set my own style up, but i dont understand the process of making a rom. I know this isnt the right forum, but i would like to see athread decicated to explaing cooking roms. Ive looked and searched and nothing really breaks it down. Ive talked to a few people, and they all say "download a kitchen, theres oems and such that just install on their own." but then people say "be careful, go slow at first, you dont want to brick your phone." Is there a thread for "cooking roms for dummies?" LOL. seriously Id love some direction too.

You can try the ervious kitchen that SAC use's to build his rom's. It is pretty easy to use. Below is the link.

A little outdated, but I have some good general-knowledge tutorials in my sig. And there you can feel free to ask questions. As soon as calculin get's out that visual kitchen I may put out another tutorial...

Moved to the HTC Touch Pro forum.
