GPS Issue on Alltel HTC Touch Pro - Page 2

WOuld you mind posting what rom you are using ( if you are using one that you did not build youself) and the device information including radio, PRL nad PRI.

I am on my 4th Alltel TP, using almost every rom and GPS tweak, and have never gotten consistent GPS locks. Sometimes on the interstate, but never near my home. I've had no locks with my current configuration on Energy Rom. I've given up, and hope to have better luck with the next device.

The other day my buddy brought over his Alltel TP and I did the QPST fix on it for him cause his aGPS wasnt working.
I did everything you said you did and it still wouldnt work! I was pulling my hair out trying to figure it out then ,BAM!, it started working perfect.
5 sec locks outside 10-20 sec locks inside.
I personally think its something to do with Alltel and not a Device issue.

If it was a alltel deal then Alltel Nav would have problems. It really is a bunch of bull seeing GPS Sats were put in the sky by the government. If I buy a handheld GPS I do not have to pay for the service.

Now with the merge with Alltel and Verzion I wonder what will come of it.

I got the same phone and had the same problem. I flashed the verison radio 1.03.09v and my gps works great and i get a little better signal.

I just changed over to MR6 but I had no problems running TomTom and getting gps on the Newest Alltel Stock Rom from HTC....

Where did you find that radio version? I could only find 1.03.13F.

Does anyone know when you update the rom does it update the radio as well?

You do not have to use a alltel radio. But if you read the thread you will know it all.
