Do not see folders while connecting from computer
I connected TP to a USB port.
In Windows XP, when I go to "Explore", I find it as "Mobile Device" with no filders in it. I also have it as an "E" drive and the only folder under there is DCIM/100Media. I am trying to install some CAB files and trying to get a folder on my File Explorer in TP. |
Re: Do not see folders while connecting from computer
when u plug the phone in make sure you click disk drive on the phone.

Re: Do not see folders while connecting from computer
I did. It's connecting. Still I only see DCIM and "Live Search".
Where are the rest of the folders? Furthermore, when in TP's "File Explorer", I do not see the files I put in the DCIM folder. |
Re: Do not see folders while connecting from computer
Also, I found the 'storage card' while in file explorer.
turns out you have to disconnect the USB cable to see it. As developers say, 'it's not a bug, it's a Feature ' |
Re: Do not see folders while connecting from computer
Try looking in My Computer just under personal safe (in Vista) if connected via activesync.
You can also browse folders in both Activesync and WMDC when the phone is connected. |
Re: Do not see folders while connecting from computer
if you select disk drive... you can ONLY navigate through the storage card...
click activesync when u connect.... then explore.... the first window is the "my documents" window... then u can select "Mobile Device" and youll move to the "my device" window...from there you can go into all folders either on your device or on your storage... again, if you select disk drive only the storage card will be visable on the PC/laptop |
Re: Do not see folders while connecting from computer
will try that, thanks.

Re: Do not see folders while connecting from computer
Yup you are connected by mass storage drive instead of via activesync. DCIM and Live search are cache folders installed on the SD card.
