newbie looking for help with Tp essentials
 

I have been reading some threads on customizing my *new* touch pro. I read through touch pro essentials thread and don't understand how to get to all of the files to change the settings. Do i have to have the "total commandor" to do so or some other editor? If anyone can help the new guy with would be greatly appriciated.

Have you looked at the FAQ? it pretty much got everything you need to get started.

Any time you see registry keys that need to be changed.. they look like this:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\ ... or something similar.. you just need any registry editor to access and change those values. It will make sense when you open the editor and check it out.

Most of the others have threads to read about them or cabs to download and run.

Disable SMS Sent Notification: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Inbox\Settin gs] Set SMSNoSentMsg to 1
here is an example of something i would like to do........and all the registry change directions look like this......this is trying to help

You need a registry editor. The windows mobile registry is setup very much like the windows registry on your computer, however, in windows a registry editor is built in, no your phone, its not. Total commander can be used to edit the registry, however, its not quite as simple to use as others. I prefer phm registry editor (cab attached).
