Advice from the TP guru's
So I've been given the green light on a TP2 purchase from Sprint when it's released. The caveat: I must return my Psyki ROM'd tweaked out phone to a state that is easier for my wife to work with. She's using a Samsung Rant right now and she's getting my phone when I get the TP2.
So the question is: Should I flash back to Stock and maybe even relock? Should I Load one of the easier to navigate roms like PointUI or SPB Mobile shell? She's not much of a tweaker she just wants to text, call take pictures and thats about it. It's not that I couldn't run this all by her but I thought I'd seek out some advice from Y'all. Thanks |
Re: Advice from the TP guru's
i don't think there is a rom as stable and bug free as the stock one.....
yeah - all the customs run better but have litle quirks with sprint tv and such so i would flash back to stock, maybe a sbp mobile shell 3, (no relock) introduce her to this site and let her do allthe tinkering if she wants |
Re: Advice from the TP guru's
It is my opinion that a custom rom 6.5 rom without manila is much easier to navigate. I got my wife a TP a few weeks ago and she was having a lot of tourble with the stock rom, she asked for my rom and she finds it much more user-friendly and almost never has to use the stylus.

Stock Rom with SPB Mobile Shell 3.0
She will find the widgets on mobile shell easy and it might even get her playing with the phone more. |
Re: Advice from the TP guru's
Update! After seeing the Price for the Sprint TP2 I may be waiting a bit. I Got my TP last year around Christmas and Best buy had a killer deal, I'm hoping that maybe by this christmas a similar situation arrives. 450 for virtually the same phone doesn't quite seem like a good idea right now.
However when I do upgrade I'm loading shipped sprint rom. Her Rant's icon's have a similar feel to the Sprint stock icons and I think she'll figure this out easier. |
