Would anyone be willing to help make a cab
 

everytime i get into total commander and start going through folders, it freezes up on me. I'm trying to change the startup gif and sound and can't get to it. would anyone be willing/able to make a cab for me to just install to my phone? i would be extremely appreciative :)

try this

I have not tested, merely renamed the files and set em to go in \windows
apple_squish.gif > HTCAnimationStartup.gif
splat.wav > PhoneOn.wav

edit, tested on my phone, but I do not have HTCAnimation cooked in... but the splat sound played.

haha that's the opposite of my test, where I heard the sound but saw no animation. I read that it was PhoneOn.wav in \windows... I guess maybe the startup sound is ROM specific (the chef has set the sound to be something other than PhoneOn.wav. I will search my registry as that;s probably where the change is made. I read that it was PhoneOn.wav in \windows. What ROM are you on?

hey if you turn on airplane mode then turn it off does the splat play??

just wondering because of this:

I have no experience with merdin's ROM, but look into advanced config/diamond tweak, it may have option to change the startup sounds (might also tell you the name of the file that is the default..)

i was able to get the sound to work but it doesn't delay so the sound doesn't actually match up :( i'll do some more digging

how many seconds do you need a delay, I can easily insert a delay into the wav

Use CE CAB MANAGER
to make cabs it is ez

im pretty sure that those r cabbed up already together in the startup and animations thread... theres even a few to chose from with differenty delays so u can get them to match up right
