stock rom uses way less ram?
 

so is it just touch flo that causes the high ram use or what? i had ssk on it and iwas always at 70percent or higher running nothing. With the completly stock rom im at 40. Am i doing something wrong with ssk or how could i get a cleaner looking rom but still have ram to actually use programs?

try one with a 6 mb page pool and your ram use will be at 40%

is 6.5 with touch flo ok to use on vzw or should i use 6.1 non touch flo? also by lowering it to 6mb how much slower will it run or what will i be sacrificing?

Yeah I believe the default Verizon ROM is a PP of 6. Well the nice thing is you can always try it and reflash again if it's not good. :) Also keep in mind Titanium (new 6.5 skin) uses less RAM than TF3D, so you might consider using it instead.

You can use 6.5 or 6.1 with or without tf3d - just lower the pagepool to 6 or 8. It might give a small decrece in speed but not really noticable.

nods because of vzw touch pro I have gotten used to titanium in the 6.5.1 builds
surprisingly it does what I need it to do

Does anyone know of a WM6.5 ROM with just the standard TF3D without Manilla or is that just not possible. I am using the Verizon stock 6.1 ROM and have plenty of ROM with TF3D. The custom 6.5 ROMS are not usable with Manilla TF3D.

hey man - read the 6 posts above yours
take any custom rom that runs on you tp, lower the pagepool, and it lowers the ram usage!
it doesn't matter if it has tf3d or whatnot.
6 or 8 works well for verizon

SSK already lowers the pagepool for Verizon as SSK is built specifically for the Verizon TP.

Scott may have loaded up the ROM with lots of goodies which you may or may not need.

I would try using one of his Kitchens and only select the software you want.

i just reflashed again to the ssk lite (different than the panoramic i used before) and i am still having the overall laggy phone issues along with when i slide out the keyboard it instantly locks everytime. I have no installed any apps on this rom and I have hard reset twice now.

Any ideas? Is it the rom or the phone or something stupid im doing?

um...no the pagepool is set to 8 i have also tried 6 and 10 still have the issue...any other ideas?

Drop touch flo...download DCD's 2.06 (titanium only), add carrier cab...

Maybe try adding touchflo after and see how usable it is but IMO Titanium gives you just as much and doesn't hog any of the memory...

i have done a hard reset after each. I am only using titanium right now with the lite version its all it has.

did you try to flash a stock rom then update to ssk's i've done that and I still have some good memory without cooking mine

my memory issue seems to be fixed, it just randomly lcoks up at lot, im trying DCD we'll see how this goes.

ok i'm using DcD's rom and it is working 1000x's better.
My only questions are:

1)Is there a way for the memory/programs running drop down menu at the top right of the home screen to be activated? (currently it is just a blank next to the battery indicator)
2) How can get that weather app that was on ssk on to it?
3)could i put cleanram on it?
4)is there a way to remove things from the today list, like music and pictures?
5)can i adjust what is in the favorites tab, like i press add/remove but it just opens up a blank white page that says change favorites at the top and the usual status stuff?

the drop down on the right of the screen is task manager. i havent seen it as a .cab but that doesnt mean it doesnt exist. i usually build it in when i build my roms from the kitchen.

titanium weather can be found over at XDA, it might even be a sticky. if not check out SSK's forum and see if its posted there.

if you find the .cab for cleanram then yes, you can install it. again, i build it in when i build my my roms.

to remove or add things to titanium you need Chome configurator, CHome editor, or titanuim customizer. one or the other should have been in the rom. look in the system tools folder.

i dont use favorites so cant help you there.

do you have a rom that has all this built in already that i could just flash? or any suggestions on other roms that maybe more setup to how i'd have it. (not happy with ssk) DCD is nice just missing these things i'd i have grown to like.

im running boreds but i dont use the premade roms, i use the kitchen so i can add what i need and leave out what i dont need.
