forgot to flash to update for VZW
 

Hi people, I just got the TP, I unlocked it, then went to MightyRom 6.5.

Question: I wanted to get the option for Agps, but I think it only works with the new updated Rom from VZW.
How will I go and get that option.

1)flash to the leaked rom.
2)Lock the device
3)flash to the new update from VZW
4)Unlock
5) Flash to MightyROM again

Is my thinking correct


sorry for the newbie question. just don't want to run the chance of bricking the new phone.

start with step 3, I dont think you need to flash the first official ROM

thanks i will think about it, I thought you had to get it back to stock before flashing to the official rom?

I dont think so, I dont see why it would matter, a stock ROM is an "Official" ROM, So I see no need in flashing one official ROM then Flashing another one.
But definatly dont relock it, Theres no reason for that

Just flash the PRI from the IIIboredIII GPS unlock thread. That's really all you're missing and that way you dont have to hard reset. you'll still only have standalone GPS, though as aGPS only works with VZNav since Verizon decided to implement server-side authentication.

the omnia was getting aGPS I thought. because it uses the cellphone and the GPS. or am I completely off mark. since I had the omnia with working GPS

even if you flashed to the stock rom, once you flashed to another rom everything in the first rom would be deleted. all you need is the bored GPS fix(PPST) and follow the instructions.
