Usb hardware charges but no option for active sync or use as disk
my touch pro started to do this today. i plug it to the computer it charges but i dont get the screen that says to activesync or connect as disk drive. i already checked under usb to pc and the settings is correct. what could be wrong.

Ok. Get in to your control panel, go to 'Connections', and select 'USB to PC'.
Tell me what is selected on that page. If the checkbox on the bottom is no longer selected, that would be why you're not getting a connection type prompt when you plug in your TP2. It might be connecting as a disk drive by default; that would explain why ActiveSync isn't seeing the phone. Let me know if this helps ok? |

it says active sync and enable advanced network functionality are selected. also at the bottom where it says ask about connection type when i connect is also selected.

yeah i'm having the same problem and the "ask me first about usb connection..." is checked

i noticed it doing it yesterday and just figured it was something wrong with my computer but i tried it on an other computer and still nothing

I found the easiest way to resolve it, (granted, you need to have every application you need to install stored on your SD card so you can easily re-install them), is to simply hard-reset the device. Give yourself an afternoon when you have nothing else going on, and reset your device. Besides, if you co-inside it with a ROM release, it gives you an excuse to do that ROM update you've been putting off because you're waiting for a new release. :)
