Messed up screens
Hi everyone,
Have a Sprint Touch Pro with stock ROM and some minor customizations. A few days ago I noticed that my menus were all messed up when the slider keyboard is in vs. out Below are the comparison screen shots with the keyboard in or out. with slider keyboard in (NORMAL) http://i950.photobucket.com/albums/a...eyboardin1.jpg screen with the SMS folders displayed normally VS: slider keyboard out (ABNORMAL Compare to above image) http://i950.photobucket.com/albums/a...yboardout1.jpg same screen with the SMS folders with the names all scrambled and blanked out AGAIN with slider keyboard in (NORMAL) http://i950.photobucket.com/albums/a...eyboardin2.jpg screen with the tabs "personal, system, connections" at the bottom of the page displayed normally VS: slider keyboard out (ABNORMAL Compare to above image) http://i950.photobucket.com/albums/a...yboardout2.jpg screen with the tabs at the bottom of the page not displayed unless I click on the tab. Has anybody had this problem before? I would appreciate any thoughts. Thanks. |
Re: Messed up screens
try unchecking "ClearType" in start/settings/systems/screen "cleartype" tab
there has been some issue with clear type having this type of blob texts effect in landscape mode. |
Re: Messed up screens
clear type by default doesnt work in landscape i thought...
you have to reg edit it...or use advanced config or diamond tweak to turn on clear type in landscape... is that what you did OP? turned on cleartype in landscape using AC or DT?? also, isthe keyboard really affecting this or is it landscape in general is the question.... rotate your screen with the keyboard still in, just to make sure its still happening so any keyboard issue somehow relating can be ruled out as well |

Re: Messed up screens
The blob text in landscape...I would say about 98% of the time is related to the "cleartype" turned on, by either the manual way or via programs...but like "bored" said AC/DT have settings to turn it "off" when in landscape mode..but I dont know if it only works with the keyboard out or any time the screen goes into landscape mode.
I just learned to deal with it....it is really not that bad, and in a couple of days you will forget all about it being turned "off"... 8) I did. |
