Touch Pro, bad ESN.. Now what?
 

Well, I just got a Touch Pro from a friend.

He told me it was all good to go. Unfortunately upon calling Sprint, they are telling me its attached to another account.

It's his account but he has an unpaid bill and a early termination it sounds like.

Now what? And no asking for a refund wont help. The money is gone.

Can I do anything with this phone or am I just SOL?

You can try and explain sprint what happened with the phone.. If that doesn't work.. I recommend you sell it on ebay as a bad esn phone..

If you dont find a way, ill buy this phone
we are unable to help you though, in order to do this you would be tricking sprint, and breaking the law.

MetroPcs thats the only option...

Metros Houdini program will flash bad esn,lost/stolen blocks, it rips right though them..

you can A) use the phone yourself on metro or B) throw up a craigslist ad for a TP for Metro Users Only... took me less than 72 hrs to sell to Moguls this way about 2 months ago...

how much did u pay for the TP? your probably only gonna be able to get around 150 would be my guess for it... alot of people will make u terrible offers too...

I can't remember if they can clear that ESN after 90 days or if the amount has to be paid first, but I believe I had this issue before and tech support cleared it up after 90 days or so...

That's why I only hand over my money in a Sprint store after Sprint has given me the official green light...

The risks aren't worth it...

That said, you don't have any option of getting it on Sprint legally as far as I know.
