Has anyone's Alltel MMS stopped working on custom ROMs?

Recently I noticed that the previous working settings I had on my phone for MMS no longer work. I installed a new ROM and noticed the same thing occurring. I can send MMS's but I can't receive MMS's.

I still can't use dcd carrier cabs. Everytime I install one my battery meter sticks at 100% no matter what the level is. Yes its wierd but for some reason it does. Plus the one I installed (20090704) doesn't work at all for me. Can't receive or send MMS's with that one.

For someone on Alltel, what's your current working settings?

You might want to check with people and be sure they are receiving what you send. Go into the MMS setting and change the default service provider to Alltel. If the chef has a different service then they probably set the default to theirs. Let us know if that worked.

Re: Has anyone's Alltel MMS stopped working on custom ROMs?

Thats exactly what I'm doing. I'm using a friend here at the college (Verizon), my gf in another state (US Cellular), and my twin brother (Stock Alltel Touch Pro on Alltel).

My gf can send and receive MMS's to my brother and friend. My brother can send and receive MMS's to my gf and the same friend. My friend can send MMS's to my brother (she doesn't know my gf). I can send MMS's to all 3 of them and they receive them, but I don't receive any MMS's from them.

To test I disabled my data connection and shut the screen off of my phone. Anytime someone sends me an MMS my screen will turn on and my data connection will turn on. It shows random downloading but nothing ever actually comes in. If I have wifi on instead and leave my screen on it will indeed start downloading but will never actually come in.

Again, I try the dcd cabs every once in a while but everytime I do the battery meter freezes at 100% and stays there even if the battery is dead. Obviously that's not any help to me.

Everytime I set up a ROM the first thing I do is make sure the MMS setting is set to my Alltel data connection. No change unfortunately.

All the cab files I have listed can be found in the Energy ROM thread.

All respective posts have been thanked. I got it fully working. Thank you very much!

Also as a little extra information, no the battery icon fix cab is no longer necessary with the October dcd carrier cab.

Thanks for this...My MMS started acting goofy early last week on NightRaven's rom after working great for about a month or so. After an hour or so on the phone with Verizon/Alltel support and many reboots, we had it working for a day. Didn't feel like dealing with the whole customer service phone tag again, so I tried this...works like a champ.

So you got this all resolved, i'm having issues right now with picture messages. I did make another post, but I want to be able to use the 09 dcd not the 08. Any luck with that?
