Simply put, it configures the data connection for your specific cell phone carrier if the relevant instructions are not already present.

well i installed JD's WM 6.5 ROM with no extras from here:

and now my TP thinks i'm using sprint, and google maps is not working.

A carrier cab installed to the phone would fix this youre saying?
where do i get it?
