Text messaging text size
 

I don't know how but sometimes I make the text huge in the text message windows and I don't know how I do it. Sometimes I randomly get it to go back to the right size but I'm sure there's some kind of gesture to control the size. (this is with the stock text messenging program/app)

I do that from time to time. You are probably touching the d-pad area. If you ring your fingertip clockwise around the circle, you increase the text size, and counter-clockwise makes it smaller. It's basically the zoom function.
