I need a basic windows mobile 6.5 ROM with no extras
 
I prefer to install all my extras myself. i just want my HTC Touch pro to run as fast as possible.

I have the verizon version of the phone.

Can anyone link me to a basic WM 6.5 ROM file?

Try DCD's ROM, its by far the fastest ROM out there. Pretty much absolutely no extras at all. His .96 which is wm 6.1 is EXTREMELY FAST but it doesnt seem hes updating the 6.1 ROM anymore. His 6.5 is still really fast just not as fast.

DCD's 2.06 ROM available here is ridiculously small and fast. Additionally, Project Copper (here) might be a good choice for you, though it's a much older system and no longer being developed. Another ROM you might want to investigate is JD's ROM here.

I don't want to use no longe rdevolped software, so i'll stay away from project cooper. JC's ROM seems nice because he packages all the extensions taht he took out so I can manually install the ones I want (like quickGPS, etc). I might try that one out too!

How is the battery life on these ROM's?

try downloading the SSK kitchen and select only the items you want installed. i've done that a few times to create bare minimum roms (under 100mb). very cool once you get the hang of it.

if you wait till tonight, scott's going to release a new version 2.6 R2.

o wait im useless ! ROFL take a look in the mirror pal you want US to point you to a rom so you can use DEAR GOD talk about lazy FFS pal all the info is here on the board. use the freaking search button. is it that hard ? i mean really do you have to have your hand held every step of the way ?.

Battery Life is pretty good on DCD's ROMs. Probably the best ive had on any ROM. Im using 2.06 and the latest Radio 1.12.34F and I think this is the best the standard battery life will get. Although actually on some of DCD's older versions (under 2.00) the battery life was better but its still good on the latest versions (2.00 and above).

giving me a link leading to hundreds of ROM's is NOT helping, not one bit...
