why only SOME notebooks can connect to my phone WIFI router

I'm using WM WIFI ROUTER.

I have three notebooks. All have B/G wireless. All can see my phone and connect, but only the ASUS netbook can browse the web with it.

Although it's connected it says "Access : local only" if I hover over the Wireless tray icon.

BTW. Connecting directly via USB is fine.

UPDATE: IT WORKS NOW. Must install HTCWIFI from the link below. The original HTCWIFI doesn't not work for me.

I assume your using (http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread...99#post1048499). I've had several laptops connect to it including my Asus 901 netbook without any issues. Though Ive had some issues with the software. A simple restart of the software always fixes them.

No I was using WMwifirouter.

Previously HTCwifi didn't work...couldn't see the SSID. But after installing the cab from below link, it works now!
