This is my very first time trying to put new software on my ppc. Where do I start? I saw a friend of mine had installed the new touch pro 2 software on his touch pro and he directed me here and was just trying to get some help on how to get started. Thanks

Well, welcome and I assume when you say "software" you mean a new ROM.

hey, yeah i just kinda figured out how to install a rom, i installed a touch pro cleanup, but i wanted to install the new touch pro 2 rom which i saw a friend of mine had on his touch pro, is this any how possible?

I assume you mean a ROM running TF3D2.
Just go to the Touch Pro upgrade section here-->

And start looking through the first posts on the ROM threads till you see something you like.

I would like to get clarification on something... If i install a new rom (like WM6.5) how would i restore my original rom? Does a hard reset work or does flashing it overwrite that rom?

Yes flashing overwrites it. So a hard reset will just reset the rom you flashed.

so how would I rip my current rom? I just want to make sure when i flash over it I will be able to return to it (I live in Canada so I don't know about the state of your original bell rom)
