Shutdown issue with Touch Pro
 

I have a sprint touch pro running stock rom. I have had it for months with no issues.

In the last few days i noticed an alarming issue. The phone would appear to shut down or go blank. The screen is blank and pushing the power buton doesn't do anything including holding down the power button. Phone calls cannot come through. The only way out of this is soft reset with stylus. Is this a "known" issue?

The only thing I can think of that i have done to the phone before this started happening is uninstalling RemoteTracker and selecting removing all info assoc with it. I have reinstalled it (but not configured it) and it is still happening. The reason i am uninstalling it is I think it is freezing up my S2U2.

The only other software I can think of that I have installed lately is the HTC wifirouter program (which din't work for me) and creepers, which didn't work well for me and I haveuninstalled as well.


Any info would be appreciated.

i'm running stock with all sorts of tweaks and hacks. i think you've got a bad program somewhere. i don't have that problem soldier.

i had that problem...just got a new phone because of it too...i would have to take out the battery and put it back in before i could reset the phone...issue # 1001 with this phone....lol

It's not S2U2. I believe it's related to the power button shutdown notification programs out there (the new htc, or the psshutxp).

ok perhaps this is a power button not working issue rather than a shutdown issue. However, i don't think I can receive calls during this time. At least yeasterday I missed an important call I was waiting on.
(and got a voicemail indicator after i got it back up after a soft reset).

I am using stock ROM, and have never heard of psshutxp
