Lost Contacts

First I would like to take a moment to explain that I am an idiot for not backing up to ActiveSync and I should shoot myself in the foot for making such a noobie mistake.

Now that we have gotten that out of the way I would like some assistance from the experts if in fact what I am about to explain is possible.

I have been using MightyROM for quite some time, but I decided to give Juicy a try since I am using my phone more and more for work every day. I wasn't even thinking and I just flashed it with the Juicy rom. It occured to me after I tried to make my first phone call that all my contacts were gone with the wind. Something interesting that I noticed was it didn't wipe my storage card even though I kept it in the phone during the flash. I don't know if that information is needed, but I thought I would throw that out there.

I'm pretty new to restoring files and I would like to know if there is any possible way that I can recover contacts as I had almost 300 of them and it would be impossible for me to remember anywhere near half of them.

Since using MightyRom I have reformatted my computer multiple times and didn't think to back up my contacts again since I didn't think I would be flashing my device any time soon.

Now I'm stuck with an empty contact list and I don't know if there is any possible way to retrieve any of them. Is there or am I S.O.L? Even just a snippet would help had I backed up my contacts to my Storage Card at a previous time, but I don't know how to check if I did.

On JuicyRom if I go to my contact list I don't see a way to restore contacts from a Storage Card or does it do that automatically?

I will stop now before I make myself look even more incompetent. Please help, anyone, if you can..

When you flash a ROM your storage card data stays intact. As far as recovering the data, I would not think it possible especially since this is solid state storage and as far as I know there are no forensics apps for these devices like there are for PC hard drives?

you can give those a try but the site says it is for storagecard/flash media recovery which I can understand, solid state is another world and I am with raid, but hey you never know.

well, if your never did a backup on contacts...either via activesync/pimbackup/dashwire/flexilis..etc...or save your pim.vol file you are pretty much SOL.

Guys,

I would like to take a moment to thank you for your attempts in helping me resolve this issue. Unfortunately nothing has helped the situation and I know it is my own fault for not doing a backup. I appreciate everything and hopefully in the future I will continue to take all precautions before doing another rom flash. Have a great week!

Thanks,
Mick
