My MMS messaging isn't working/keeps asking for password

I can't send/receive picture messages. Anytime I try I get an error message #777 that says password/username is not correct.

I'm with Alltel, running Merdin's WMPro 4.6 Rom. For some reason web works, but I can't turn on Data Connection. Any suggestions? Thanks!

I would reflash and then make sure you do a hard reset afterwards, then try again.

Try doing a *228 1 to reprogram your phone....

Alltel is now part of verizon so it should work.

your issues is your data connection is not configured correctly.

You can also try using "vzw" as the password and saving.

I tried the *228 then sending a picture message. I got a "message sent" but the phone didn't receive the message. not sure why i'm even needing a password?

go to your messages window and click menu and pic/video options and click on server. click on alltell mmc or whatever and tell me all the information in that window

if none of this worked for you, try getting the dcd for you carrier...you can find it via search in this forum...I needed VZW's before I could use mms cause my dcd or data connection was secified for sprint's server and I needed vzw

You are awesome! I can't believe I spent all day trying and trying everything when I did this the first time and just forgot about it....... whew, bigger problem avoided! Thank you very much

I need to document all the problems and solutions throught this process, which is completely new to me but I never turn down a good challenge :) This site is amazing and I'm lucky to have come across it!

EDIT: BTW, I was just getting ready to flash a stock rom and decided last minute to check back here
