Is there a way to make the picture messaging allow files bigger than 512kb like maybe a registry edit or something??

this is a limitation by your mms server not your phone.

yes. which also has it's size limits and again depending on your smtp/exchnage server. for the more technical peoples... 512k is sort of the lowest common denominator. meaning you should be able to send mms between carriers and know a mms of <512 will get there. i think sprint for instance has much higher limits. i think up to 5MB up and 10MB down. so you could xperiment with your sprint friends to see how much you can actually send and eceiev through mms but it would most ikely be limited to sprint and possibly regions or even physical/virtual mms servers in the cloud.

on second thought just use email. :)

their all wrong... theres is actually a registry to change, but i dont reg edit much so i dont know where to send ya..

heres a cab for it though-sprint only from what i hear...

the cap for Pic Mail is 5mb, if you do the reg edit yourself

**edit** i did see one guy say t was possible, so not everyone was wrong, my apologies.... also, just because your phone can send/recieve bigger files, doesnt mean the device you send it to can handle what your sending...

and email has no limits on sending.. to a device sure, but not to an email account... i just sent my buddy a 90mb file from my TP, sure it took an hr to send but it worked no prob

Not entirely accurate. Email does have limits and those limits are setup by the individual in charge of the email server you are sending from, to, or relaying through. Much like how the limits on MMS depend on the carrier you are using, sending to, or relaying through.

I know for certain because I run my company's Exchange server and if you send anything over 50MB it will reject it. So your 90MB file would have been returned to you unsent.

MORE MMS Limit tweak by: Pumpiron579

1:HLKM/Software/ArcSoft/Arcsoft MMS UA/Config/mm1/ mmscsetting/Sample MMS Change all the values to 1024000 or 1228800 that way you can send 1mb or 1.2mb files over MMS.

2:Then Change;
HLKM/Software/ArcSoft/Arcsoft MMS UA/Config/mm1/ UI/size Limit

3:Then set the SendDefault and/or RecvDefault to a value of your choosing. I set all mine to 1228800.
