Tip for VZNAV on new Verizon stock ROM
 

For those of you trying to use VZNAV with the new VZW ROM, here's a tip for you:

To get the right version of VZNAV working with this ROM, do NOT click on the icon in the program start menu to download/active the program. It will give you an older version of the software 4.1.5, instead of the version that actually works, 4.1.6.

Here's how to get 4.1.6:
-- Go into Opera or PIE, go to start.vzw.com
-- Click on the Verizon Navigator button
-- Scroll down the page and download the version available on that link
-- Install that version instead.

You should then have 4.1.6 installed, which should then load and run normally.

(Sorry if this has been posted elsewhere, but I couldn't find it when I was trying to resolve the problem for myself. Hope it helps!)

This may help somebody, but there are very few users on this site willing to pay $10 a monthwhen there are plenty of better GPS programs available for no charge.

Well, maybe. Personally, the 2D turn-by-turn just works better for me than other options I've seen, so I'm still using it. (For now...)
