when troubleshooting possible hardware issues it's always best to flash a stock shipped rom. and hard-resset a 2nd time after customizations have ran.

i've been running the stock shipped rom on my sprint tp for a few months now, and a few weeks ago my cam froze while taking pics, so I rebooted and it's been dead ever since.
I just picked up the phone to see if it gave me the message you got, and it's working again!! :) lucky me.
I don't remember seeing an error before though, it just would hang on a black screen when trying to load.

well check this out

NRG just uploaded a new rom 7/28

flashed it

now ma camera is working no prob even through soft resets

now i DID NOT install web camera plus

i am afraid to because i really do think thats whats messin up the cam

which makes no sense b/c it was working way before flawlessly

any thoughts?

cant you install it and see if it b0rks it and if it does uninstall and soft reset SHOULD get it back to normal before you installed this app??????

Mobilia Webcam

it works with no problem and dosent mess up the cam

this is very strange but im glad you got your phone working like its supposed to. sometmes our phones act werid out of nowhere for no aparent reason. maybe it wants more attention

It was...let me take you through what i did

Flashed the latest NRG rom

DID NOT install Webcamera Plus

Camera was working no prob

Then i installed a DIFFERENT web cam app

Mobila Webcam

THAT WORKS and does not mess up the cam

I then figured it was ok to install Webcamera plus

so i did then soft reset

tried connecting to the computer via WiFi

it didnt work right

then i tried to connect again

camera stopped working

uninstalled the app then did a soft reset

camera is back to working..........

now the thing i dont get is why it all of a sudden it wants to act up......

i was using it way before on the same device no prob

so hopefully the company can help me out

i would go to that application and see if there is an update. the app that seems to be messing up your camera.

FIXED!!!!!

Turned out there was a setting i had to choose

i forgot all about it b/c its been a min since i installed from the last time

took a min but its all good

=]
