Re: Question bout HTC WiFi Router
They should not charge u extra...I use wmwifirouter all the time and no extra charges on my bill....
|
Re: Question bout HTC WiFi Router
they dont see it as tethering, they think you are using the data on the device itself
|
Re: Question bout HTC WiFi Router
are your sure>?

Re: Question bout HTC WiFi Router
wmwifirouter will not incur monthly charges from sprint. But if you go over 5gb of data usage they will be notified then you may be charged.

Re: Question bout HTC WiFi Router
Also keep in mind that if they see a jump in data usage they gonna know something is up. I remember back when people had PDAnet on their Mogul they got phone calls from Sprint about their usage and were spoken to about tethering plans Sprint offers.

Re: Question bout HTC WiFi Router
Try a reset, and start it back up.
How far is it away from your other wireless device? How is your signal? (3g and wifi) Are you getting constant text messages? |
Re: Question bout HTC WiFi Router
rive done the reset on the fone and also restarted my comp
its right next 2 it full bars evdo and on the txt part ...at th emoment about every 10-15 mins |
Re: Question bout HTC WiFi Router
k well i get txt messages about at the same interval as you do. which im sure as you know when you get a txt or send a text, it temporarily suspends your data connection.
hmm reinstalled drivers for your wifi card on your comp? and what is getting disconnected, the data service or the actual wifi connection? |
Re: Question bout HTC WiFi Router
im some wat of a noob ...where can i get the drivers for the wifi card?
and its the wifi connection that disconnects thanx for ur help |
Re: Question bout HTC WiFi Router
Well first off, is it a laptop or desktop?
what OS are your running ? (operating system) 32 bit or 64 bit? Is your wireless card a separate from your computer system or inside it? ( IE laptop has built in wireless usually while most desktops don't, but some do!) If it is outside, look on the card and you should see the model number. Write that down. Also you see a brand name and what not. If it is inside then depending on your OS I can help you locate it and find out what it is from inside the OS. |
Re: Question bout HTC WiFi Router
its a laptop ... averatec 3200 series
runin xp and i think its 32 bit ...not really sure |
Re: Question bout HTC WiFi Router
alright, let me do some magic on google.com and ill get you a link and tell you how to reinstall your drivers. give me min or two
|
Re: Question bout HTC WiFi Router
Alright here we go:
go here, direct download link for your wireless driver: http://www.trigem.com/upload/AMERICA...0and%20lan.exe its in exe format, so i would imagine just download it, double click and it should do the rest. Which it should uninstall the old one first. But if you want a "fresh" driver install: Go to your "Device Manager" Locate your wireless lan, right click and go to uninstall. Afterwards restart, then click on the .exe file to install your new drivers. Restart again and you should be good to go. heres the site for more drivers/info on your laptop: http://www.trigem.com/us/support/drivers.asp Make sure you download the file before you uninstall your wireless! In less you have another way to get internet to your computer? Usb cable or network cable |
Re: Question bout HTC WiFi Router
Hopefully that fixes your problem. If not, is there a hotspot or wireless router you can test your laptop on? If it can keep a continued connection with that, then it's for sure your TP that is the issue.
