Question about using facebook photos for contacts
 

I like the ability of TF3D2 to use facebook profile photos for the contact photos for people in your address book but I haven't found a way to batch process it for all the people in my phonebook. Is there a way to do this? Also, how do I back it up to memory card/sashimi for when I flash a new rom?

as for getting the photos from facebook to the contact picture im not sure, but for saving them for the new rom xmlcontactsbackup turns your contacts into xml files in a folder you designate on your storage card. the xml contains all the contact info (phone #'s, email, address, etc) plus it saves the contact photo and links it so when you restore you have all their info/.pictures. its what ive used since day one of flashing customs. i attached a cab below if you wanna try it.

There is no batch method...but you can do all from TF3D2...

Go to the people tab, press all people and then go to the facebook card and press update.

It will ask you log in and most roms I have seen will tell you login failed but just hit cancel and you should see that it worked....

Indeed there is a way to backup contact pics originally synced from Facebook, and in all probability its most likely already cooked into whatever ROM you are currently using.

What is this program I speak of?? Microsoft's MyPhone Service. :)

People seem to undervalue this program that MS almost quietly rolled out. It will sync anything from contacts w/multiple numbers/adresses/e-mails to calendar entries, to your ringtones (from \My Documents\My Ringtones)

It'll let you login to your facebook account through the app, download contact info and sync there birthdays and pictures.

Can you choose from any of their profile pics or can u only use the current one?

Can you control what's synced and what's not synced?

doesnt work on tp sprint...the login screen is too big to fit also
