Radio + Connection Support/Information Thread

So, I cannot find anything direct[solid?] about this Telus radio firmware ver. 1.07.01v which comes on the upgraded shipped Diamond ROM. I have even seen posts of high class chefs using this Radio. The problem is no one can dump the ROM it seems? I just want to know why... Hoping this thread sparks something for someone who can help in the development of dumping the ROM. Once that radio is dumped all we have to do is hex edit 2 strings of code and it can be flashed to the TP. I don't know why it can't be dumped so let's start talking about it here.: )

On another note, inside of the TP Radio ROMs (or Diamond as well) I've found a few other device names other than the Raphael (which is the name we change from the Diamond Radios to make them TP compatible. Here are the names...

DIAMOND_C <-- This is the HTC Touch Diamond
RAPHAEL_C <-- CDMA HTC Touch PRO
NEON_C <-- HTC Touch Dual 850 (not 100% sure on this device.)
PANTHER_C <-- HTC Treo Pro 850
TOPAZ_C <-- HTC Touch Diamond 2
HERMANN_C <-- GSM HTC Touch Pro
VICTOR_C <-- HTC Touch Diamond (Canadian carrier-branded models)

Note that this is even in the leaked Diamond 1.00.00 Radio ROM which is way before the TP2/Diamond2 where even announced. Anyways, maybe we can swap Radios with these other devices (GSM/CDMA specific) devices. Our connections are crippled! We should be getting at least 2.4Mbps [that means you can download at about 285 kilobytes per second], but UP to 3.2Mbps. My best connection is at best 1.56Mbps... And that's only on the newer Cellular South radio... Telus 1.04.05 is a next in best for me.
And yes I have done all the TCP tweaks/Reg Tweaks... Everything. I'm a big tweaker, if anyone wants me to post my tweaks for optimum connection performance I'll gladly start this as a support thread :)

But really... Telus 1.07.01... Whats up???

The Hermann is CDMA, The Raphael is GSM.

Victor_C was the Sprint Diamond, which was CDMA.

Probably only one T1 going to your tower. Same thing in my area, I can do a speedtest at night and see that it tops out at around 1.5 megabit. If I go to a friends house in the middle of the city, at night I can easily hit over 2.0 megabit with no issues.

You'll rarely ever see the conditions for 3.2. I've never seen it show that in the ##DEBUG screen, highest I've seen is 2.4.
