alltel to verizon switch
 

ok so the big switch happened for me today, we are now verizon instead of alltel in my part of texas. does anybody know if we are gonna have to change anything for our data plans and are we still gonna have unlimited data usage and tethering. lol this kind of stuff isn't covered in the info on the websites so i thought i would ask here. any info on this would be great!!! thanks fellas!!!

No sir, nothing is going to change unless you chose to change it. You've got a banging phone on a great network.

Your data package wont suddenly become capped, your tethering *should* still work, and remain unlimited at least until they assimilate all the Alltel towers.

Whatever you do though dont file an insurance claim on your TP\diamond, assurion will replace it with a VZW PRO\diamond, leaving you with a crippled phone on a great network.

ok man thanks for the heads up, will that still work with the exchange phones?? i just got one like a week and a half ago and the crome is all cracked and messed up and has the oil spot in the middle of the screen. just checking before i go and try to get a new one, lol thanks again!!!

when you call in to make an exchange just ask them if you wiill get an alltel one. then ask them again.........and again and make SURE you get an alltel branded one. thats what i just did.
