htc touch pro - need to stop pocket dialing
 

so i'm pocket dialing a lot. i hate this. what application can i install to take care of this?

is there an application that makes me hit a certain button before i can use my phone? this would solve it.

I would say lock application.

s2u2, throttle lock, regular windows mobile lock,
there's more than that too.
Throttle lock and s2u2 are probably the easiest ones.
throttle lock I like better since it uses less resources.

PocketShield is hands down the best locking app IMHO, but it's not free.

go to settings and find long press end key or something like that. change the setting to lock phone. that way, you just hold down end before you slip it in your pocket and you dont get any button presses. when you get a call, the phone isnt still locked so you dont have to hassle with that.

+1 for PocketShield!!! Simple, Stable, Effective, No Grief!

I have also tried S2U2, Throttlelock, and the Built-In 6.5 Lock w/ various tweaks...but I find Pocketshield the most stable and effective. I think their free version is good for long time use with only a nag message, but I liked the app so much I sprung for a license within my first day of using it.

Some of the ROMS come with a phone lock. I am using Silence/Mighty and if I press and hold the 'end call' button, I get the option to lock device. That also saves battery life.

Simplest thing is to just go into the phone settings and choose lock all buttons except power button.

Pocket Shield is awesome. I too reccomend it. I think there is a trial so you can give it a whirl.
